Blessings from above
I tried to go for my walk around the property today but ran into a few challenges. The last few days weather not only brought a rain of water but a rain of walnuts. We need to start picking them up. There are also pine needles all over the place. Let's show some pride in our church and get together to clean up our property. It will not only look nicer but will be safer for those using the sidewalks and parking areas.

Labyrinth Walk
Twelve of us gathered on Saturday afternoon for the first of what we hope are many monthly labyrinth walks. The weather was great, there was a little feel of fall in the air as we walked and meditated or prayed in the labyrinth.
We will be doing this at 4:00 p.m. on the 3rd Saturday of every month. When the weather does not allow for outdoor walking we will be inside with paper labyrinths and guided meditations.
Come join us for a few minutes with God

Ponderings
I am sitting at my desk in the office and have just finished my walk of the church property. I do this every time I come into work. At first it was to check the property and grounds and make sure everything is OK. Occasionally there is some trash to pick up but usually it is a nice little walk. This has turned into a time for me to think about my sermon, pray, meditate or just enjoy the glories that God has given us. I see so many beautiful plants and animals along my walk. I have even started talking to the animals. Of course they run off when they hear me coming but that does not stop me from saying good morning to them. God has given us a wondrous place to live. We need to remember to slow down and enjoy what is around us and then take a minute to thank God.
